Case Study: Terkel

Background

Terkel connects publishers with trusted insights by tapping into Terkel’s network of experts to answer posted questions. Those responses are then leveraged by brands & publishers to develop quality content, while also providing visibility for the experts.

Challenge

To keep up with the pace of engagement from experts on the platform, Terkel needed to increase the number of publishers using its resources and the frequency of questions posed. As such, Terkel worked with Embedded to help increase its network of brands & publishers engaging with its offerings.

Solution

Embedded built a custom go-to-market and growth plan for Terkel, which included:

  • A platform partnership strategy, to explore the opportunities that exist with large-scale partners that can unlock access to large number of brands & publishers at one time

  • A customer lifecycle engagement strategy, which included how to leverage and engage with Terkel’s existing network of experts as a source of brand & publisher growth

  • Analysis of the value of software partner integrations to unlock growth at scale

  • An outreach toolkit to engage with brands & publishers, including detailed pitch copy

Result

“Working with Embedded inspires me to be a better leader and build a great business. On the business side, Embedded's superpower is in tech partnerships. In a short period of time, Embedded has been able to unlock opportunities with some of the top tech brands in the world. From day one, Embedded also challenged me to think about how to build out our future leadership team with a commitment to diversity. The big vision we have for our company is to democratize thought leadership, and working with Embedded helped me realize that the first step towards that vision is committing to building a diverse leadership team. Nothing but wonderful things to say about Embedded. They're an asset to any team, and their commitment to a startup's short and long term success is tangible and contagious. - Brett Farmiloe, CEO, Terkel
